Volunteering at Tent of Nations
Volunteering at Tent of Nations is a unique opportunity to experience life on a Palestinian farm and enjoy the hospitality of the Nassar family, learn about tending to the land & about the challenges posed by the Israeli occupation, and to meet people from all over the world. As a volunteer, you will be part of a small community working together to keep the Tent of Nations farm and projects going and growing.
Tent of Nations is proud to work amongst a range of faiths, cultures, and backgrounds – we welcome everyone who believes in building bridges of tolerance & understanding and the importance of work towards a world in which respect for each other, the land, and our shared environment are the values that prevail.
Short Term Volunteers (1-3 weeks)
We have many opportunities for short-term volunteers from 15th March until 15th November. Please see the volunteer roles listed below for information about the kind of work that you can apply to do here at Tent of Nations.
Long Term Volunteers (1 month +)
It is always useful for us to have some volunteers who are able to stay with us a bit longer and get familiar with the work. We often have volunteers who stay with us for up to 3 months, which – for most nationalities – is the length of the Israeli tourist visa. If you are able to stay for longer, we would very much appreciate this help and commitment. Please let us know how long you would like to stay (and the work that you would like to do) and depending on the time of year, we will see whether we can accommodate you. We are particularly in need of long term volunteers to take up the Office Worker role as this job requires a longer induction period.
We have 4 places available for 6-12 month volunteers.
Please note that we are restricted in the number of volunteers which we are able to accommodate during the winter months (mid-November to mid-March).

We ask that you choose one of the above volunteer roles to apply to – please note your preference in your application. You may apply to a combination of roles which interest you and we will do our best to accommodate this in your work. Be aware that, while each volunteer will be assigned to one of the specified roles as listed above, and thus will have their own set of responsibilities on the farm, all volunteers will be expected to help with a variety of jobs now and then as the need arises.
You may also be interested in assisting with our Beit Al-Reef Women’s Project.
You can also apply to attend one of our 10-day workcamps which are held between March and October (for harvesting, cave renovation, and the Children’s Summer Camp).
More information about what to expect when volunteering with us can be found on our Volunteer Information page. Please read this carefully before applying.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
We look forward to meeting you
